Lost in this canyon of life
I shout for understanding
There's life all around me
But the only one to respond
Is myself delayed

I translate my message
Into languages
So simple to decode
But unfortunately
No one knows the password
Even if I tell them

Your ears are my pillow
But when I rest my head
It still lays on a rock
That's too heavy
To move

I look for trail heads
But all I find
Are worn paths
That encourage me
To create my own

The canyon walls wink at me
And somehow they know
More than you ever could

Burried in the silence
Are hints
That sometimes
Are too loud to hear

So I choose to listen
To these mirror of words
That can't be seen by others
Who don't look past
Their own reflections


I looked to the outside
But never found answers
Until I realized
That soul equations
Can be solved
By embracing
My own echo
